Two of Amazfit’s smartwatches are receiving new updates in firmware versions 8.39.3.2 and 9.27.5.1. The release brings several features to the wearables to enhance your running workouts or fishing activities. Plus, the watches now support more third-party devices connected via Bluetooth.

Amazfit has announced updates for the T-Rex Ultra and Falcon smartwatches. The T-Rex Ultra is receiving firmware version 8.39.3.2, while the Falcon is receiving version 9.27.5.1. The release brings several new features to the wearables, predominantly aimed at runners.

For example, the update includes changes for Zepp Coach running plans, adding a training score for each session. There are also new guidance modes for steady-state running and walking, allowing you to adapt the workout plan to your needs. Another feature for runners is support for VO2 Max data when using the Trail Running activity. Plus, the smartwatch now supports third-party devices like the CORE Body Temperature Sensor and the Stryd Running Power Meter. On top of this, the fishing sport mode has been enhanced with the addition of records of the number of casts and fish caught, alongside new charts and timers.

The firmware also includes bug fixes and adds a “Skip” button to the display when using Zepp Coach. If you own an Amazfit T-Rex Ultra or an Amazfit Falcon smartwatch, you can check for updates in the Zepp app. You should be able to find the software by going to Profile > Amazfit Falcon/Amazfit T-Rex Ultra > System Update. In other news, the company recently announced updates for the Balance and Cheetah series watches.
