OnePlus announces Watch 2 EU Exclusive Style
OnePlus is teasing a new wearable, the Watch 2 EU Exclusive Style. The OnePlus Watch 2, which runs WearOS, first landed in Europe in February as an upgrade to the older OnePlus Watch.
In an interview with Forbes, the CEO of OnePlus Europe, Bingo Liu, confirmed that the new EU version would be “strongly linked” to the original model. However, it has been indicated that the wearable will have a new design suitable for various scenarios, including the office, the gym, and a dinner date. Features of the standard Watch 2 include dual-frequency GPS tracking during workouts, monitoring biometrics like heart rate and VO2 Max, and local music playback with 32GB storage. Plus, the model has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display and can last up to 100 hours of battery life using Smart Mode.
The OnePlus Watch 2 EU Exclusive Style will launch at an event in Helsinki on April 23rd, where the company will also unveil the Pad Go tablet. The company will begin to accept pre-orders from this date before the smartwatch officially goes on sale on May 7th. The pricing of the new OnePlus wearable has yet to be revealed. As an indication, the older model has an RRP of €329/£299. OnePlus has also announced a range of offers for customers who purchase the new Exclusive version, including a free pair of OnePlus Buds 3 worth €99/£99 and up to €80/£80 off when you subscribe.
