New Google Pixel Tablet refresh plans detailed with new official keyboard and pen accessories rumoured
Leaker @MysteryLupin has shed new light on Google's rumoured Pixel Tablet refresh. To recap, Dealabs and @billbil_kun revealed yesterday that Google was planning to repackage the current Pixel Tablet (curr. $499.99 on Amazon), a year after its initial announcement. While the pair did not reveal too many other details, they claimed that the Pixel Tablet would arrive for €609, a €70 drop, but without its previously bundled charging dock.
According to @MysteryLupin, this change will coincide with the arrival of official keyboard and pen accessories. Allegedly, these will retail for 'around €100' in Hazel and Porcelain colour options to match the colour options in which the Pixel Tablet is currently available. Please note that this is €100 apiece rather than €100 as a pair; @MysteryLupin asserts that Google has no plans to offer the Pixel Tablet as a bundle with its new keyboard or pen accessories.
However, the leaker adds that the keyboard will utilise Bluetooth rather than a direct connection through the Pixel Tablet's rear-mounted pogo pins. Moreover, @MysteryLupin implies that Google will relaunch the Pixel Tablet with these new accessories on May 10, three days after Apple's 'let loose' iPad event. If that is the case, then it would see Google repositioning the Pixel Tablet four days short of I/O 2024 where it is expected to introduce the Pixel 8a.
