Plenty has been said about the Pixel 8a in the last few weeks. Most recently, Google itself appeared to reveal the handset in a Google Fi Wireless advert. Subsequently, new hands-on photos of the same device surfaced online, details of which we have covered separately. Now, Android Headlines has shared official-looking Pixel 8a render images, including a previously unseen green option dubbed 'Mint'.
If the images below are accurate, then it would suggest that Google is planning to offer its next mid-range smartphone in more vibrant colour options than its recent Pixel and Pixel A series generations. Additionally, the images that Android Headlines has provided reinforce that the Pixel 8a has comparatively thick display bezels, which leaked hands-on images also showed.
With that being said, it would be difficult to tell the Pixel 8a from the more expensive Pixel 8 (curr. $670 on Amazon) otherwise, given the volume of design similarities that exist between them. Reportedly, the Pixel 8a will start on May 14 for €569.90 in the Eurozone with 128 GB of storage, a 4,500 mAh battery that can recharge at 27 W and a 120 Hz OLED display. Alternatively, Google is expected to sell a 256 GB variant for €629.90; all SKUs will ship with a Tensor G3 chipset though, as well as 64 MP primary and 13 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras.
