2024 Lenovo Thinkbook 16+ launches with Intel Core Ultra 9 and Nvidia RTX 4060

The 2024 Lenovo Thinkbook 16+ is now available for pre-order in China. This new laptop equips a top-of-the-line processor from the Intel Meteor Lake family. To be specific, it packs the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, a 16-core CPU with the  Intel Arc 8-Core iGPU.

There’s a configuration of the Thinkbook 16+ that comes with a dedicated GPU. It’s the Nvidia RTX 4060, a high-end option that can offer decent gaming performance in most titles. Speaking of which, Lenovo says that the CPU can deliver up to 80 watts of performance.

However, one of the main highlights of the Lenovo ThinkBook series is the slim and light build. It seems that the new ThinkBook 16+ lives up to that, coming in with a chassis that measures 16.99 mm and weighs around 1.9 KG (around 4.18 lbs). While it’s thin, the laptop comes with a decent number of ports.

Among them are one Thunderbolt 4, two USB 3.1 Gen 1, one USB 2.0, and one USB 3.2 Gen 2. There is a TGX eGPU docking interface too. It’s basically a proprietary version of the much-known OCuLink port, and it can offer up to 64 Gbps of data throughput.

As for the screen, the 2024 Lenovo Thinkbook 16+ features a 16-inch display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. It has hardware-level low blue light certification, 100% sRGB color coverage, and DC dimming. Other highlights include WiFi 6E, an 85 WHr battery, 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and PCIe 4.0 storage (1 TB Crucial P3 Plus curr. $69.99 on Amazon).

Pricing-wise, the 2024 ThinkBook 16+ starts at CNY 7,699, which is about $1,062. The laptop with the dedicated RTX 4060 goes for CNY 9,999, around $1,380. There’s no word on global availability and pricing yet, but Lenovo has recently launched the 2024 ThinkBook 16p G5 in the international markets. It also comes with high-end specs.
