Haleron: the new HN 116 netbook costs $459

The newest mini-laptop by Haleron, HN 116, is now on the market.


Haleron has recently released their latest mini portable PC which the company has decided to call HN 116. The device ships in a variety of colors and also comes with an Intel Atom processor, an 11.6-inch display, 1GB of system memory and a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 OS. Furthermore, the netbook is now available for purchase from the company’s website for $459 which is approximately €361.

Configuration

The new HN 116 is supposedly equipped with an Intel Atom N450 central processing unit at its heart (ranked 352 on our CPU Benchmark List). In addition, the CPU has 512KB of L2 cache as well as one core with a speed of 1.66GHz.

This portable computer also houses 1GB of DDR2 system memory (can house up to 2GB) and 160GB rotating SATA hard drive which gives consumers plenty of space for file storage.

As for the display, the HN 116 reportedly comes with a WXGA wide screen which is 11.6 inches in diagonal. Moreover, the mini notebook sports an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics controller which provides full support for DirectX 9c and is ranked 243 on our GPU Benchmark List.

Connectivity

According to the product’s web page, consumers can connect to the Internet thanks to the built-in 802.11 b/g/n wireless and Ethernet adapters. Furthermore, users can connect to other devices and exchange data with the help of three USB ports, a Bluetooth module and a SD/MS/MMC/MS-Pro card reader. Built-in 3G antenna and TV tuner are optional. In addition, the netbook has a VGA port which gives users the possibility to use an external monitor.

Haleron has also added an integrated 1.3MP web camera, audio-out and microphone-in ports for making video calls.

Other specs, pricing and availability

The new HN 116 reportedly features a high definition 3D audio, a Polymer Li-ion battery, which according to the product web site can last up to 5 hours, and a full size keyboard (83 or 85 keys). As mentioned previously, the device ships with a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 Home OS.
