Lenovo releases new 16-inch laptop with Intel Panther Lake and dedicated 105W GPU

Lenovo has now started rolling out its latest IdeaPad Pro 5i generation across North America. However, the laptop being offered in Canada and the United States differs from the one that Lenovo recently launched in Europe and Australia. To recap, the company kicked off the IdeaPad Pro 5i Gen 11 series in those markets with a 14-inch variant lacking discrete graphics.
By contrast, North America has received a 16-inch alternative packing an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 GPU with 105 W of Total Graphics Power (TGP) just like last year's model (curr. $1,299 on Amazon). Incidentally, the GeForce RTX 5060 mentioned during CES 2026 in January is only available in Australia, where Lenovo applies a AUD 10,098.90 (~$6,945) surcharge.
For the time being, Lenovo is selling the IdeaPad Pro 5i (16IPH11) with a choice between the Core Ultra 7 356H and Core Ultra 9 386H. By default, the laptop combines a Core Ultra 7 356H processor with 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, 1 TB of M.2 2242 storage and an 84 Wh battery that supports 170 W charging. Also, this configuration contains a 2.8K OLED non-touch display that peaks at 120 Hz with 500 nits SDR and 1,000 nits HDR brightness.
The IdeaPad Pro 5i 16-inch starts at $2,449.99 in the US, CAD 3,399.99 in Canada and AUD 4,399 in Australia. Alternatively, the laptop can be configured with the Core Ultra 9 386H and a touchscreen display. Eventually, Lenovo should add Core Ultra X9 388H and 99 Wh battery configuration options, too.
