Lenovo releases new 15-inch laptop with 165 Hz OLED display

Last week, we reported that Lenovo had started selling the IdeaPad 5a 2-in-1 (14AGP11) globally. Equipped with a choice of three AMD Gorgon Point APUs, the 14-inch convertible also features a 60 Wh battery and 1200p IPS or OLED displays. Alternatively, Lenovo is now offering a 15.3-inch alternative to replace its older Strix Point-based 16-inch models (curr. $749 on Amazon).
However, the IdeaPad 5a 2-in-1 (15AGP11) is not currently available in all of the same markets as its 14-inch counterpart. For instance, Lenovo's listings across the Eurozone and the UK still show the 15AGP11 as merely 'coming soon'. By contrast, the 15.3-inch laptop has reached Australia and North America with up to the Ryzen AI 7 445 in all markets.

Incidentally, the 15AGP11 starts with the Ryzen AI 5 430 in North America, but the more powerful Ryzen AI 5 435 in Australia. The laptop can be configured with up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 SODIMM RAM and 1 TB of M.2 2242 storage everywhere though with a choice between Cosmic Blue and Lunar Grey finishes. Additionally, Lenovo offers the 15AGP11 with two display options.
On the one hand, the convertible starts with a 1200p IPS panel that combines a 60 Hz refresh rate with 400 nits peak brightness and 45% NTSC colour space coverage. On the other hand, the device can be configured with a 1600p OLED panel that also reaches 165 Hz with 500 nits peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage.
The IdeaPad 5a 2-in-1 (15AGP11) starts at $899.99 in the US and CAD 1,239 in Canada with the Ryzen AI 5 430 and 16 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, Australia has received the Ryzen AI 5 435 with the same amount of RAM for AUD 1,679 (~$1,150). Prices jump to $1,289.99, CAD 1,809 and AUD 1,809 when configuring the Ryzen AI 7 445, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB of storage, a 1600p OLED display and an active stylus, though.
