Asus releases new 16-inch gaming laptop with 120 Hz OLED displays

Asus has quietly released its new ROG Zephyrus Duo. Revealed in January, the ROG Zephyrus Duo replaces the GeForce RTX 4090-backed model we reviewed over three years ago. While the GX651 shares the 'ROG Zephyus Duo' name with the older GX650, the former departs from the latter in major areas.
For one, the new ROG Zephyus Duo is closer in ethos with the Zenbook Duo (curr. $1,699 on Amazon) with equally-sized displays and a detachable keyboard. However, the ROG Zephyus Duo GX651 adds a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or a GeForce RTX 5090 laptop GPU to complement its Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor. Additionally, the GX651 can be configured with 32 GB or 64 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage.

Also, Asus has integrated dual M.2 slots with a magnetic access door unlike the ROG Flow Z13. Moreover, both displays output at 2.8K (2,880 x 1,880) with 120 Hz refresh rates, 1,100 nits peak brightness and Nvidia G-Sync support. Rounding out the package is a 90 Wh battery, which contributes to the laptop's 2.82 kg weight.
The ROG Zephyrus Duo (2026) GX651 starts at £3,999 and CAD $5,499 (~$3,946) with 32 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD and a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU. Meanwhile, Asus has priced a 64 GB of RAM, 2 TB SSD and GeForce RTX 5090-powered alternative at $5,799 and CAD $8,999 (~$6,459). Please note that only the latter is available to purchase in the UK for now.
