Asus confirms global launch for new 18-inch gaming laptop with 1,600-nit Mini LED display

Intel presented its first Arrow Lake HX Plus processors a little of a week ago. To celebrate, Asus announced new versions of the ROG Strix G16, ROG Strix G18 and the ROG Strix Scar 18. Now, the company has confirmed the exact SKUs in which its ROG Strix G18 2026 will be available.
For context, Asus plans to sell the smaller ROG Strix G16 2026 in six variants. By contrast, the ROG Strix G18 2026 will eventually land with eight SKUs to choose from. The Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus is consistent across all SKUs though, as is DDR5-5600 RAM, dual M.2 2280 storage and a 90 Wh battery.
Additionally, Asus has confirmed that the ROG Strix G18 2026 will be configurable with Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5060, RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 just like its predecessor (curr. $3,679 on Amazon). The ROG Strix G18 also returns with an optional 240 Hz Mini LED display.
By default, this year's version adopts a 300 Hz IPS display rather than the 240 Hz equivalent inside last year's cheaper versions. The ROG Strix G18 2026 matches its predecessor in terms of weight at 3.2 kg, though. Asus has yet to confirm pricing or availability. The full list of ROG Strix G18 2026 SKUs is as follows:
