Lenovo releases new 16-inch ThinkPad in North America with up to 128 GB RAM

Lenovo is now selling the ThinkPad T16g Gen 3 in more markets. Listed on the company's PSREF website in September 2025, the 16-inch workstation has been available in Europe for some time. The device is out of stock across the Eurozone and the UK for the time being, though.
Not to be confused with the ThinkPad T16 (curr. $1,089 on Amazon), the ThinkPad T16g combines Intel Arrow Lake HX processors with two of Nvidia's most powerful laptop GPUs. However, only two SKUs have reached Australia and the US. Meanwhile, Lenovo limits its offerings in Canada to a single SKU.
Specifically, the ThinkPad T16g Gen 3 starts with a Core Ultra 7 255HX, GeForce RTX 5080, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD in North America. This configuration currently costs $4,319 in the US and CAD 6,019 in Canada. Also, Lenovo includes a 4K and 60 Hz IPS display, which carries over to a $7,599 variant with a Core Ultra 9 275HX, GeForce RTX 5090, 128 GB RAM and a 4 TB SSD.
By contrast, Australian SKUs start with a Core Ultra 7 255HX, GeForce RTX 5080, 16 GB RAM and no storage for AUD 5,174. The ThinkPad T16g Gen 3 can be configured up to the Core Ultra 9 285HX and a GeForce RTX 5090 with a 3.2K Tandem OLED display, 192 GB RAM and 12 TB of storage for AUD 14,432, though.
