Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2026 is now live with updated Rushdown encounters, three event weapons, Bright Dust rewards, and a new Magic: The Gathering crossover.

Bungie has launched this year’s Destiny 2 Guardian Games event, which runs from March 24 to April 14 and once again pits Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks against one another for class honors.

The event centers on collecting medallions, completing activities, and helping one class finish on top. This year’s version also updates Rushdown, adding randomized boss encounters and daily boss rotations to make repeat runs less predictable.

Event rewards include three limited-time weapons

Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2026 includes an event reward track with a new shader, ship, emblem, Ghost Shell, and holofoil weapons. Bungie is also offering three event-specific weapons during the event:

  • Triple Laureate - Stasis Hand Cannon
  • The Beacon - Solar Fusion Rifle
  • Keraunios - Arc Trace Rifle

Bungie is also adding Rare Vanguard Orders, which give players another way to earn Bright Dust during the event. According to the studio, each completion awards 50 Bright Dust until players hit the 1,000 Bright Dust weekly threshold, after which completions award 10 Bright Dust each. That currency can then be spent on Guardian Games-themed Legendary Armor Ornaments.

Magic: The Gathering crossover arrives alongside the event

The Guardian Games launch is also being used to roll out a new Magic: The Gathering crossover in Destiny 2. The collaboration adds armor ornaments and cosmetics based on characters and iconography from Wizards of the Coast’s long-running card game.

Bungie says the new ornament sets are:

  • Titan - Flamecaller Set, inspired by Chandra Nalaar
  • Hunter - Mindsculptor Set, inspired by Jace Beleren
  • Warlock - Death’s Majesty Set, inspired by Liliana Vess

Other crossover cosmetics include the Promised End Exotic Ghost Shell, Grand Praetor Exotic Ship, Voice of Hunter 7/6 Exotic Sparrow, Overrun Finisher, Ignite Your Spark Exotic Emote, Sol Ring Exotic Emote, and the Basic Lands Shader Pack.

Shadow and Order is still scheduled for June

The event arrives as Bungie continues work on Destiny 2’s next major update. The studio said last month that Shadow and Order had been delayed while the team revised parts of the release and expanded its scope. Bungie now says the update is scheduled to launch on June 9, 2026, with more details to be shared closer to release.

In recent news, Ubisoft has additionally confirmed that The Division Resurgence will launch worldwide on March 31 for iOS and Android, giving the free-to-play mobile shooter a firm release date after a long stretch of test phases and previews.

Additionally, the new PUBG: Battlegrounds Anti-Cheat 2026 Roadmap outlines a year-long effort to tighten detection, reduce false bans, and make it harder for banned players to return.
