Garmin is now offering a new beta update to the Fenix 7 Pro and its peers too.
Garmin has started the weekend by rolling out a new update to many of its older high-end smartwatches. Replacing a recent beta release, Beta Version 26.07 should resolve an issue that impacts inReach Remote usage.

Hardly any time has passed since Garmin delivered Beta Version 26.06 to Enduro 2, Fenix 7, Quatix 7 and Marq Gen 2 smartwatches. Initially, the company claimed that it would be issuing the same update to Pro-branded smartwatches at an unspecified juncture.

Shortly afterwards, Garmin confirmed it was aware of a bug within Beta Version 26.06 that impacted inReach Remote usage. Now, the company has transitioned beta development to Beta Version 26.07 as a way of rectifying this issue. Not only that, but Beta Version 26.07 is available on Pro smartwatches like the Fenix 7 Pro and the Fenix 7X Pro (curr. $484 on Amazon).

Also, it is worth noting that this update must be requested manually. To do so, head to Menu, System and Software Update before tapping 'Check for Updates'. Beta Version 26.07 contains the same other changes that Garmin bundled with Beta Version 26.06, too. The full list of changes between Beta Version 26.04 and 26.07 are as follows:

  • Fixed text irregularities between the watch and Garmin Connect in the Power Manager app.
  • Fixed a potential shutdown issue on the Garmin Coach app.
  • Fixed an issue with button navigation on the InReach Widget
