Garmin now delivering activity experience improvements for multiple smartwatches via new update

Garmin has now officially released a new stable update for the Fenix 8 and associated smartwatches like the Enduro 3, Fenix E and the Quatix 8 (curr. $949 on Amazon). To recap, the company offered Beta Version 21.39 for the same smartwatches earlier this week. At the same time, it seemed to issue the update to some smartwatches running stable software.
Now, v21.39 has officially transitioned to Garmin's stable software branch as System Software 21.39. For context, the new update replaces System Software 21.25. While that update contains over ten new features, System Software 21.39 aims to resolve outstanding bugs.
For instance, the new update should resolve an issue that caused a system crash when using Bluetooth headphones. Additionally, the sports scores glance should now show correctly on the Quatix 8. Please note that this update is not rolling out to the Fenix 8 Pro or Quatix 8 Pro yet. Allegedly at a 50% rollout percentage, System Software 21.39 carries the following changelog from System Software 21.25:
- Fixes a potential crash when using headphones.
- Fixes a potential crash when using the HIIT activity.
- Fixes an issue where only one goal alert is shown per day.
- Fixes an issue where strength activities show a black data screen on solar devices.
- Fixes an issue where the sports scores glance is missing from Quatix 8 series.
- Fixes other minor bugs.
- Improves course planner performance.
- Updates translations.
