Xiaomi announces imminent launch for new luxury smartwatch

Xiaomi has now revealed the date when it will be releasing its next smartwatch. For context, Xiaomi presented the Watch S5 last week. Since then, Oppo has started selling the Watch X3 in China, which debuted alongside the Find N6 foldable.
In response, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Watch S5 will arrive on March 19. Previously, the company outlined that its new smartwatch would offer up to 21 days of battery life. Also, it teased that multiple styles would be available, including one with eSIM functionality. Now, Xiaomi has revealed that SU7 and YU7 integration will be supported from launch.
Moreover, Xiaomi boasts that a new heart rate sensor delivers 98.4% monitoring accuracy. Likewise, an upgraded dual-band GNSS chip and its Sleep Algorithm 2.0 are said to deliver 33% and 11% improved accuracy, respectively. Xiaomi has clarified that the Watch S5 will achieve 6 days longer battery life than the Watch S4 (curr. $190 used on Amazon), thanks to an 815 mAh battery. While Xiaomi has not confirmed global availability yet, it sells the Watch S3 and both versions of the Watch S4 outside China.
