Garmin’s Instinct 3 series watches are receiving beta v14.06
Garmin has issued a new beta update for users of the Instinct 3 series smartwatches. The change log states that this release tackles several bug fixes and makes minor improvements to these wearables.

The Garmin Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct Crossover, and Instinct E smartwatches are receiving a new update: Beta Version 14.06. This is the second release in the 14.xx testing cycling, following the Beta Version 14.05 update in late March 2026.

With Beta Version 14.06, Garmin states that it has provided “miscellaneous bug fixes & improvements” to the Instinct 3 and related smartwatches. Unfortunately, the change log for this release does not provide further details explaining exactly which issues have been resolved. It could be that Garmin has tackled two problems recently flagged by a user in the forum. The first was a navigation problem, where the watch display would switch off when in Settings, only reactivating with a button push. The second was linked to sleep monitoring, with data reportedly not being captured as expected.

As a reminder, Beta Version 14.05 brought several new features, including a Stock glance, a Mobility app and support for Backup and Restore. Plus, it added a Recovery Time glance and a new Morning Report card.

All users of the Garmin Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct Crossover and Instinct E smartwatches (curr. from $239.99 at Amazon) who are signed up to the beta program can now install the version 14.06 update. It is available via ‘Check for Updates’, which can be found under the Main Menu > System > Software Update.
