Toshiba introduced three new X505 models

The three powerful laptops are targeted toward gamers

Toshiba has reportedly put three pre-configured X505 models up for order. The gaming notebooks X505-Q860, X505-Q870 and X505-Q880 offer much power and an appealing design.

Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q860

This model comes with an 18.4-inch HD+ TruBrite display with a maximum resolution of 1680-by-945 pixels and is powered by Intel’s Core i5-430M processor. The X505-Q860 sports the new NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M with 1GB of DDR5 video memory and has a DVD Burner. This gaming laptop houses 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a 500GB rotating hard drive (7200rpm).

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11n, Ethernet LAN, HDMI output and an integrated web cam. Packing a high capacity 12-cell battery, this model sells for US $1,199.99.

Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q870

The Q870 has similar specs to the Q860 but packs an Intel Core i7-720QM CPU and a Blu-Ray ROM with a DVD Super-Multi. This model also features Bluetooth 2.1+EDR in addition to the Wi-Fi 802.11n connectivity.

Weighing about 9.7lbs (≈4.4kg) the Qosmio X505-Q870 is priced at US $1,499.99.

Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q880

This high-end powerful workstation houses one 500GB 7200RPM rotating HDD and a 64GB solid-state drive (SSD). Customers can also order this product with a secondary 500GB HDD. Furthermore, the Q880 has 6GB of internal memory and is equipped with a Full HD 18.4-inch display with a resolution of 1920-by-1080p.

The third model also sports a Blu-Ray and a DVD Burner and costs US $1,899.99.

All three Qosmio gaming laptops come with a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and pack three USB 2.0 ports, a card-reader slot and one eSATA/USB combo port. Available with a Fusion finish in Omega Black, the notebooks sport a backlit keyboard with a numeric pad.
