Mediatek Helio G200

The MediaTek Helio G200 is an entry-level ARM SoC (system-on-a-chip) that can be used in both smartphones and tablets (mainly Android). Technically, the Helio G200 is comparable to the older MediaTek Helio G100 comparable.

The SoC integrates two ARM Cortex-A76 cores with up to 2.2 GHz for demanding tasks and six small ARM Cortex-A55 cores with up to 2 GHz in a power-saving cluster.

The integrated 4G/LTE modem supports Cat-13 (400 MBit/s download, 150 MBit/s upload). Wi-Fi 5 (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) is also on board. The memory controller supports LPDDR4X RAM with up to 4266 MHz. A maximum of UFS 2.2 storage is supported.

Compared to the MediaTek Helio G100, the MediaTek Helio G200 performs better, particularly in terms of camera and mobile communications. The former supports up to 200 MP as before, but is now supported by a 12-bit DCG when recording HDR videos.

The 4G mobile module has also been improved. Compared to the Helio G100, it is said to have 30% lower latency and up to 83% greater connectivity range in areas with poor signal.

The MediaTek Helio G200 is manufactured using the 6 nm process.
