List of laptops featuring the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU

Vaidyanathan Subramaniam, 👁 J. Simon Leitner, Daniel R Deakin, 02/01/2019

This article provides a comprehensive list of laptops that feature the newly announced NVIDIA "Turing" GeForce RTX 2070 GPU. The RTX 2070 comes in both Max-Q and non-Max-Q variants and is expected to perform similar to the "Pascal" GTX 1080. This list will be updated as and when new laptop models featuring the RTX 2070 are announced.

At CES 2019, NVIDIA unveiled the mobile GeForce RTX lineup that includes the RTX 2060RTX 2070RTX 2080, and their respective Max-Q variants. Laptops featuring the new "Turing" GPUs have started hitting the shelves just a few days ago and we've had the opportunity to evaluate some of them to see how they fare when compared to their previous generation "Pascal" counterparts.

A bevy of gaming laptops in 2019 will be featuring the RTX 2070 GPU or its Max-Q variant. The mobile RTX 2070 (N81E-G2) uses the same architecture as the desktop RTX 2070 (12 nm TU106) except for changes in the GPU clocks (-14% base; -11% boost) and TDP (115 W vs. 175 W) for better power-efficiency and improved thermal performance in slimmer cases. The mobile RTX 2070 also offers Real-Time Ray Tracing (RTRT) and Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) for added realism in supported games. It sports a 256-bit wide memory bus and 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, and it can perform similar to a "Pascal" mobile GTX 1080. The Max-Q version will feature reduced clocks and lower power consumption but should still remain a competitive proposition for 1440p and even 4K gaming albeit with reduced RTRT and DLSS abilities.

Almost every major OEM is expected to feature the new RTX lineup in their offerings. Therefore, it will become difficult to keep track of all the laptops that offer the new "Turing" chips. But fret not. We have prepared a comprehensive list of laptops that gives an overview of all laptop models that sport the new RTX GPUs. In this article, we will focus on laptops that feature the GeForce RTX 2070 and its Max-Q variant.

We will be monitoring the market continuously and updating this list as and when new RTX 2070 laptops are released so bookmark this page and keep checking back for regular updates. For details on laptops featuring the RTX 2060 and RTX 2080, check out the following pages —

I am a cell and molecular biologist and computers have been an integral part of my life ever since I laid my hands on my first PC which was based on an Intel Celeron 266 MHz processor, 16 MB RAM and a modest 2 GB hard disk. Since then, I’ve seen my passion for technology evolve with the times. From traditional floppy based storage and running DOS commands for every other task, to the connected cloud and shared social experiences we take for granted today, I consider myself fortunate to have witnessed a sea change in the technology landscape. I honestly feel that the best is yet to come, when things like AI and cloud computing mature further. When I am not out finding the next big cure for cancer, I read and write about a lot of technology related stuff or go about ripping and re-assembling PCs and laptops.
