List of laptops featuring the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU
At CES 2019, NVIDIA unveiled the mobile GeForce RTX lineup that includes the RTX 2060, RTX 2070, RTX 2080, and their respective Max-Q variants. Laptops featuring the new "Turing" GPUs have started hitting the shelves just a few days ago and we've had the opportunity to evaluate some of them to see how they fare when compared to their previous generation "Pascal" counterparts.
This year, we will be seeing many laptops feature the top-end RTX 2080 GPU or its Max-Q variant. The mobile RTX 2080 (N81E-G3) uses the same architecture as the desktop RTX 2080 (12 nm TU104) except for changes in the GPU clocks (-9% base; -7% boost) and TDP (150 W vs. 215 W) for better power-efficiency and improved thermal performance in slimmer cases. The mobile RTX 2080 also offers Real-Time Ray Tracing (RTRT) and Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) for added realism in supported games. It sports a 256-bit wide memory bus and 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, and it can perform better than a "Pascal" mobile GTX 1080. The Max-Q version will feature reduced clocks and lower power consumption but should still remain a competitive proposition for 4K ultra gaming albeit with reduced RTRT and DLSS abilities.
Almost every major OEM is expected to feature the new RTX lineup in their offerings. Therefore, it will become difficult to keep track of all the laptops that offer the new "Turing" chips. But fret not. We have prepared a comprehensive list of laptops that gives an overview of all laptop models that sport the new RTX GPUs. In this article, we will focus on laptops that feature the GeForce RTX 2080 and its Max-Q variant.
We will be monitoring the market continuously and updating this list as and when new RTX 2080 laptops are released so bookmark this page and keep checking back for regular updates. For details on laptops featuring the RTX 2060 and RTX 2070, check out the following pages —
