The Ion-powered netbook will hit France before it comes to the US
The Samsung N510 is the second netbook out there to be powered by the NVIDIA Ion which combines an Atom N280 with a GeForce 9400M graphics card. It was officially announced last week by Samsung, but now it seems that before going to the US market it will first be available in the European market - France to be precise. In fact the good-looking netbook could hit the French market as soon as anytime this month.
Apart from sporting the above-mentioned ION platform, it gives you a 1GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Webcam, 6-Cell Li-Ion Battery and Windows XP Home. The N510 (NP-N510-KA02UK) has an 11.6-inch LED backlit display panel with a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
It is expected to start walking the street in July at a retail price of around 600 euros – according to Netbook Italia. That makes it an expensive US $840. The 6-cell battery promises a good life.
