Following the launch of the Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd gen), the first generation model has received a price cut. Now selling for $130 off, the Bluetooth headphones are worth considering if you want premium headphones on a budget.

Bose recently announced the QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) which have a new design and bring new features but retain the launch price of the first generation released in 2023. Ahead of the release of the new headphones on August 13, Bose and Amazon have discounted the first generation QuietComfort Headphones.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones launched for $359 in 2023 and have been discounted multiple times since they were released. Now that Bose has announced a successor for the same $359 price, it is now selling the first-gen model for $229, which is $130 off its launch price. The headphones are also available to buy for

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones in Moonlight Grey.

While the new low price applies to all 8 colors of the Bose QuietComfort Headphones available on the manufacturer's site. Amazon has slashed the price of only 8 out of the 11 colors it has available. The limited edition Chilled Lilac, Blue Dusk, and Moonstone Blue colors are priced higher.

In terms of features, the Bose QuietComfort Headphones are over-the-ear headphones with active noise cancellation, an aware mode, Bluetooth 5.1, and an equalizer. They also have physical buttons which many prefer to touch controls and there's an audio jack for listening in wired mode. Unfortunately, there's no support for USB-C audio like you have on the Beats Solo 4 headphones (available on Amazon for $99.99). Bose's headphones have a battery life of up to 24 hours and a companion app for adjusting settings, tuning the equalizer, and updating the firmware.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones come with a carrying case, charging cable, and audio cable.

Many reviews praise their sound quality, comfort, and noise cancellation, with some comparing them to more premium models. However, they are not perfect as some reviews have complained about issues with Bluetooth multipoint connection, and Bose's own poor customer service. However, several buyers agree that they are worth buying when on sale.
