Xiaomi's next flagships are getting a colorful makeover, leaker claims

Leaker Digital Chat Station has posted on Weibo about the design of the Xiaomi 18 series, saying the back design of the new flagships is not changing, and the back screen of the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max will most likely be retained.

Also according to the leaker, Xiaomi is currently testing black, white, pink, blue, and red colorways, but it is not yet clear whether these colorways belong to the standard Xiaomi 18 or the Pro and Pro Max models.

Digital Chat Station also replied to a commenter in his post, confirming that the Xiaomi 18 series won't be using a glass back, which could mean a fiberglass back like the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max, or vegan leather.

The Xiaomi 18 series is expected to launch in late September with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, with the global launch to follow shortly after if the rumors are to be believed.

Still, as always with early testing stage leaks, color, material, and model names could still change before Xiaomi finalizes specs.
