Acer: Aspire 5745P is a new entertainment notebook

Acer’s latest laptop Aspire 5745P comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen display.

At this year’s IFA in Berlin, the Taiwan-based company Acer introduced their new entertainment notebook called Aspire 5745P. This portable PC is supposedly equipped with an HD multi-touch screen, an Intel processor and an NVIDIA graphics card. In addition, it also features a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 OS.

Configuration

This notebook, as mentioned previously, sports an Intel processor and consumers can choose among Core i3, i5 and i7 central processing units. Each of these CPUs reportedly provides enough speed for the entire system to run quickly and smoothly.

The Aspire 5745P also houses 4GB of dual-channel DDR3 system memory (up to 16GB) and a 320GB mechanical SATA hard drive (HDD).

This portable computer reportedly comes with a high-brightness and high definition display which is 15.6 inches in diagonal. The multi-touch screen also has LED backlighting and 16:9 aspect ratio. The display is powered by an NVIDIA video card. The GeForce GT 330M has 575MHz core speed, provides full support for DirectX 10.1 and is ranked 67 on our GPU Benchmark list.

Connectivity

In order to connect to the Internet, consumers can use the built-in 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Gigabit LAN adapters. With the help of the multi-in-1 card reader and optional Bluetooth 3.0 file transfer and data sharing is quite facilitated. The new Aspire 5745P is also equipped with an HDMI interface for watching videos on an external TV and a 1.3-megapixel Crystal Eye web camera with a high resolution of 1280-by-1024 for video conferencing.

Other specs, pricing and availability

Other features of this laptop include a DVD Super Multi optical drive, a Dolby Home Theater audio, a multi-gesture touchpad, a 6-cell battery (Energy Star 5.0 and Acer PowerSmart technologies included for longer battery life) and a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

However, there is still no information when the new Acer Aspire 5745P is going to be available and how much it is going to cost.
