Even after launching the M5 iPad Pro and the base M5 MacBook Pro last month, Apple appears to have more hardware waiting in the wings. Multiple leaks and stock shortages suggest that a late-November event, a week of staggered press releases, and some launches beyond that could unveil the remaining products planned for 2025 and early 2026. Here’s everything expected next.
Apple TV 4K (2025): A17 Pro power and Wi-Fi 7 support
According to several supply-chain reports, stock of the current Apple TV 4K has quietly dwindled across multiple regions, signalling an imminent refresh. The upcoming model is rumoured to feature Apple’s A17 Pro chip, the same silicon used in the iPhone 15 Pro, bringing a notable jump in CPU and GPU performance, including hardware-based ray tracing for console-like gaming.
The device will reportedly include an N1 wireless chip supporting Wi-Fi 7 and Thread for improved smart-home reliability, aligning it with Apple’s Matter ecosystem. Siri will also gain Apple Intelligence enhancements under tvOS 26, likely improving its search and recommendation capabilities.
There’s also talk of a built-in camera, most likely for FaceTime calls. The most striking detail, however, is the rumoured $99 price tag, which would make this the most affordable 4K Apple TV yet.
HomePod mini 2: Wi-Fi 7 and new colours
Inventory shortages have also hit the HomePod mini, suggesting a replacement is close. The HomePod mini 2 is expected to integrate the same N1 chip found in the new Apple TV for Wi-Fi 7 and Thread support. It will reportedly use improved speaker drivers for richer sound and enhanced far-field microphones for more reliable Siri responses.
Apple may also add the U2 ultra-wideband chip for better handoff between iPhone and HomePod and introduce new colour options, including red, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
AirTag 2: Longer range and smarter alerts
The new AirTag 2 will look identical to the current model but incorporate a next-generation ultra-wideband U2 chip offering up to three times greater precision-finding range. Apple’s AirTag 2 has been ready for months, based on internal iOS 26 references.
The long-requested battery life notifications are also expected to debut, allowing users to receive alerts before a tag’s cell runs out.
Apple product launches expected beyond November 2025
Some major Apple products could skip the November window and launch in early 2026. For instance, the Apple Studio Display 2 and the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models could arrive next year.
Studio Display 2: Mini LED panels and Pro Motion support
The long-rumoured Studio Display 2 is expected to launch either in the latter half of 2025 or early 2026. As per industry analyst Ross Young, the new 27-inch monitor would switch from an IPS panel to mini-LED backlighting, offering 1,600 nits of peak brightness, local dimming, and significantly improved contrast.
The upcoming Studio Display 2 is reportedly identified by the codename J427, with references to it discovered in internal Apple software code. A second display, codenamed J527, was also mentioned in the same codebase. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously reported that Apple is developing two versions of the Studio Display and will decide which one to bring to market.
Apple has not released a new external display since the original 27-inch Studio Display in 2022.
M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro: New chip design and possible 5G
While the base M5 MacBook Pro has already launched, Apple has yet to debut its higher-end M5 Pro and M5 Max variants. We've earlier reported that both chips employ TSMC’s SoIC-MH packaging, allowing Apple to separate CPU and GPU clusters for the first time.
The delay is believed to stem from the same new chip architecture. Launch timing remains unclear, and the latest rumours suggest that Apple may be done with any new MacBook launches for the rest of 2025.
Another notable addition could be 5G connectivity via Apple’s internal C1X modem, referenced in recent code strings. Should that prove accurate, these would be the first cellular-enabled MacBook Pros. External design, ports, and displays are expected to remain unchanged.
With five unreleased products and mounting supply chain activity, a November 2025 Apple event or multi-day press cycle looks increasingly likely. If the leaks hold true, Apple’s November event and the months beyond it will fully unveil the M5 generation.
