Hardly any time has passed since Apple introduced upgraded iPad Pro tablets, a new Vision Pro headset and a 14-inch MacBook Pro aided by its M5 chipset (curr. $1,549 on Amazon). Nonetheless, recent reports indicate that Apple has at least three products to release before the year is out, including a next-generation AirTag.
Reiterating past rumours, Gurman asserts that Apple could be preparing to unveil a new suite of devices as early as November 12. For the time being, the analyst is only inferring this based on two factors. On the one hand, Apple is currently not replenishing stock levels of the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini in markets like the US. On the other hand, Gurman claims that Apple have briefed retail employees for an out-of-hours refresh once stores close on November 11.
Typically, Apple only updates its store experiences when preparing to announce new products or for the holiday season. Given that the latter is still a way off, Gurman has erred on the side of Apple updating the Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini, albeit with some hesitancy. Based on recent rumours, the next Apple TV 4K will jump to the company's A17 Pro chipset and Wi-Fi 7 support via its N1 modem. The HomePod mini is tipped to gain Wi-Fi 7 connectivity too; less is known about other prospective upgrades for the time being, though.
