MacRumors has obtained details about future Apple products from internal Apple sources, starting with the next-generation iPad mini. According to these sources, Apple's smallest tablet will get an upgrade from the Apple A17 Pro to the brand-new Apple A19 Pro, which is also expected to be installed in the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. When exactly this new iPad mini will be launched remains unclear.
This could be the first iPad mini with an OLED display, as previous rumors have suggested that Apple is working on a mini tablet with an OLED panel, but it has not yet been confirmed that this upgrade is planned for the next generation. The Apple TV 4K, meanwhile, is expected to get an upgrade from the Apple A15 Bionic to the Apple A17 Pro, which is already known from the iPhone 15 Pro, although it is conceivable that Apple will reduce the number of CPU or GPU cores for the set-top box.
The Apple A17 Pro is expected to offer better gaming performance as well as support for Apple Intelligence, which could enable Apple TV to offer AI features for the first time. The next-generation Apple TV is set to launch before the end of 2025. Lastly, MacRumors has uncovered references to a new Apple Studio Display, which is expected to launch in early 2026. Aside from the internal codenames "J427" and "J527", MacRumors has not yet been able to confirm any details about the planned upgrades, but it is conceivable that Apple will equip the Studio Display with mini-LED backlighting or even an OLED panel.
