This Is the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra: Renders seem to confirm redesign
It came as a surprise when Ice Universe was the first to point out the new redesign of the Galaxy S27 Ultra last weekend, and later that of the Galaxy S27 Pro as well. Now, thanks to French leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka @OnLeaks, we can get a better look at the design of the Galaxy S26 Ultra successor next year. While the redesign hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, this leaker is usually very reliable, so we should probably assume that this new camera plateau look will indeed make it to next year's Samsung flagship phone.
Dimensions and expected specs
According to the CAD leak, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will measure approximately 163.7 x 78.2 x 8 mm, which is broadly in line with the dimensions of its predecessor and only slightly larger in each dimension. When measured including the camera bump, the thickness will be 12.53 mm. Unlike the Galaxy S26 Pro—which is expected to feature the same design but in a slightly smaller form factor—the S27 Ultra case still has the space for an S Pen, however, it will lack the 3x telephoto, which was is quite outdated anyway due to the tiny 10-megapixel sensor.
A new 200-megapixel sensor—potentially named ISOCELL HP6—will be responsible for the 3x–5x zoom performance in the future, while the 5x telephoto lens will likely be carried over from the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Under the hood we will likely see the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 for Galaxy, the Exynos 2700 on the other hand is expected with international Galaxy S27 Pro models and below. Battery capacity is expected to increase to 5.700 mAh for the first time in years, however, price increases are also likely.
