Silent Hill: Townfall PS5 disc leaks before release date, revealing gameplay changes

Survival horror fans are suddenly seeing extensive footage from Konami’s latest title. In some cases, like at the Tokyo Game Show 2026, the publisher authorized the gameplay videos. However, a PS5 disc has leaked days ahead of the September 24th Silent Hill: Townfall release date.

An Italian YouTuber claims to have received a physical copy of the new Silent Hill game earlier than anticipated. The incident is the latest premature stream involving PlayStation titles, including Marvel’s Wolverine.

Juggling action and sleuthing

The three videos, totaling around 87 minutes, are subject to DMCA strikes and won’t be linked in this article. Still, they may convince holdouts wavering as the Silent Hill: Townfall release date approaches. Without spoiling the story, the caster shared initial impressions of the revamped gameplay.

As Simon Ordell begins to unwrap the mysteries of St. Amelia, the content creator praised the game's early stages. In YouTube comments, they call the experience “very good,” appreciating how the first-person perspective adds immersion. On the other hand, the “complex puzzles” could frustrate PS5 and PC users who crave continuous action.

Konami has also sponsored streamers to build hype surrounding the title. CohhCarnage showcased a Silent Hill: Townfall early access build on September 19th, confirming the importance of exploration. When players finally encounter an enemy, stealth techniques prove as critical as melee or ranged attacks.

At the Tokyo Game Show, the publisher invited Japanese horror game fanatic Gatchman for a 50-minute playtest. Difficulty may not be an issue, as he sometimes struggled to fend off approaching threats. Attendees also saw much more of the CRTV, which is critical to Simon’s investigations. The device scans for danger and provides vital clues about what devastated the Scottish village.

Since buyers can expect 10-14 hours of gameplay, extensive leaked videos could spoil the storyline. Patient fans can pre-order the physical Silent Hill: Townfall PS5 disc or digital version by September 24th. The Digital Deluxe Edition unlocks two days of early access for PS5 and Steam users. As a PlayStation console exclusive, Xbox loyalists are out of luck at launch.
