Will Physint come to PlayStation? Kojima says only Xbox knows

Physint is one of two upcoming video games from Hideo Kojima's Kojima Productions video game studio. Originally developed for PlayStation, the game will now be published by Xbox, following Sony's surprise decision to hands-off the project. However, one question that has repeatedly surfaced is whether Physint will be released for PlayStation, now that Xbox is involved.
According to Vice, previous reports claimed that Hideo Kojima would not grant PlayStation exclusivity for Death Stranding or Physint, even though Sony funded the two games. However, it appears that rule wouldn't be applied to Xbox.
When asked if Physint will be an Xbox exclusive, Kojima is quoted to have said “I don’t know the answer to that—that would be a question for Xbox. But I don’t know for sure.” While this can't be interpreted to mean that Xbox has made the decision to make Physint an exclusive game for its consoles, it simply means if the decision lies with Xbox, then the condition Kojima set for its previous games published by PlayStation doesn't apply in this case.
Xbox already has Kojima Productions' second upcoming game, OD, as an exclusive, and there's nothing stopping it from doing the same with Physint, since picking it up saved the game from being cancelled.
In related news, Kojima Productions has also released a statement to put to rest the reports about its relationship with PlayStation, the commercial success of its Death Stranding games, and the reason for PlayStation walking away from Physint, all of which was stated in a Bloomberg report.
In a post shared on X, the game studio says the claims are not from any “official or on-the-record source”, and thus they should be taken with a “dose of scepticism”. The post also mentioned that the studio is in a healthy and profitable state, and despite the fact that Physint now has a new publisher, its relationship with PlayStation remains strong.
