Capcom has officially confirmed the three Resident Evil remakes coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. There have been leaks and rumors for a long time suggesting the same, and the games will soon be available for pre-order.

Nintendo Direct just concluded, and there’s great news for Resident Evil franchise fans. It was announced that three older Resident Evil games will be getting remakes that run natively on the Nintendo Switch 2. There will be both physical and digital versions for these games.

The three games include Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition. There were rumors and leaks about these three titles coming to the Switch 2 as far back as a year ago. Then in January of this year, reports started surfacing again. Now, Capcom has officially confirmed the news.

Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4 remakes will come with all DLC. Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition will include the Resident Evil 4 - Separate Ways DLC as well, which tells the story from a different perspective.

Pre-orders should be live soon. The digital versions of the games will be released on October 16, while the physical versions will arrive on January 29 next year. It is unclear why the gap between the two is so long. It is also unclear if those who purchase the digital version next month will have to pay again if they want to own a physical version.
