Rest assured GTA 6 fans, it seems Take-Two has told Sony and Microsoft that there are no delays to the game’s release, for now. This means it would stick to its November 19 release on consoles.

After two delays, GTA 6 is expected to release on November 19. The date has been confirmed by Rockstar but there is always a chance it may be delayed once again. Fans have been eagerly waiting to experience the world of GTA 6, so another delay would be greatly disappointing to them, and could also impact the industry as a whole. Fortunately, some good news has been shared by a leaker and if it is accurate, gamers will get to experience the game this year.

The latest information comes courtesy of Millie A on X who claims that both Sony and Microsoft have been formally notified by Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar, that GTA 6 is on track. While the leaker adds that the game will release “within the current fiscal year,” GTA 6 is actually releasing in the next fiscal year, 2027, that starts from April 1. While that part of the post is inaccurate, the information about Take-Two notifying Sony and Microsoft may not be, or that’s the hope at least.

Notably, the same leaker had initially notified that a second delay was possible when GTA 6 was first pushed to May from its fall 2025 release window. At the time, they claimed the game will be pushed to September 2026, but it actually ended up being delayed to November. Does that mean this new claim of a confirmed release window is accurate? Hard to say.

GTA 6 will release on consoles first, on November 19, and then a year or more later on PC. Recently, console pricing for the game was allegedly leaked and it could cost $100 (based on £89.99 leaked European pricing). The PC price, however, could be $80, but it’s uncertain what Rockstar’s pricing strategy will be, at this point. Furthermore, there have been reports of the GTA 6 release causing delays for other major games like Microsoft’s Fable, so if a delay were to happen, it would give other games more room or force them to readjust their launch windows.
