GTA 6 console and PC price may have leaked and it’s what we all feared

One of the most hyped and highly anticipated games, GTA 6, is still several months away from release. Having been delayed twice already, the current scheduled November release has a lot hanging on it. The game is expected to rake in a crazy amount of money in its first two months, as per VC firms, but for that, Rockstar will have to price it smartly. Fans have been speculating about the price for a while, but now, a possible confirmation may be upon us.
The latest information comes from Loaded (formerly CD Keys, via Insider Gaming), a digital storefront that sells digital codes for games, DLCs, and more. A recent listing for GTA 6 on Xbox Series X, that has since disappeared, had a price tag attached to it. It was set at £89.99, which means in the US, the game could cost about $100. This is more than what was previously expected - $80. Back in August of last year, there was a survey of gamers in Brazil, and they felt that $100 would be a fair price for GTA 6. Looks like Rockstar listened, unfortunately.
Interestingly, the listing also shows a price for the PC version of the game as well, which is most certainly not going to launch in November. This version is priced at £60.99 which would put it at around $83. For now, Rockstar is expected to follow the GTA V trend for console and PC release, bringing the game to consoles first in November this year and then to PC a year or so later.

It should be noted that these prices could just be placeholders for the moment and since the page has already been taken down, there is no guarantee that these were the final listings for the game. Furthermore, GTA V launched at the same price for consoles and PC, which was $60, back in 2013 and 2015, respectively. Rockstar has not shared any price for GTA 6 and there will most likely be similar leaks as we move closer to release.
