GTA 6 has been subject to multiple leaks since 2022, and this new one is the latest in line.
The viral GTA 6 "bridge leak" has now been confirmed fake by its creator, who shared a full breakdown video. The clip was built from scratch over months, which explains earlier inconsistencies and community doubts.

What looked like a small, but relatively convincing glimpse of Grand Theft Auto VI has now been debunked by its own creator. The person behind the recent "bridge leak" has admitted the footage was fabricated - he shared a detailed YouTube video explaining how it was made. The clip had been circulating online as possible early gameplay, showing a bridge in Vice City, with traffic, water, and environmental detail that many initially believed, but still suspected to be contrived.

According to the creator, the scene wasn't lifted from any real build. It was recreated from scratch over several months using external tools. The creator tried his best to mimic Rockstar’s lighting, UI elements, and overall visual style. The goal was to see if a believable GTA 6-style scene could be built independently. Multiple community members had already pointed out multiple inconsistencies in the debug UI, map accuracy, and asset placement, which hinted that the clip didn’t match known GTA 6 material.

On Reddit, replies were polarizing even before the reveal. Some users called it "convincing at a glance", while others straightaway dismissed it as "just some guy on YouTube creating fake leaks," which just goes on to show common these situations have become.

Context is everything here. GTA 6 has been stuck in a long cycle of leaks, rumors, and recycled footage since the major 2022 breach. With very little official gameplay shown since, even minor clips tend to get viral real quickly. That environment makes it easier for well-made fakes to spread. Also, tools used to create realistic scenes have become more accessible, making it possible for individuals to produce footage that can pass as early development builds - at least for a few days.

Regardless, the "bridge leak" is now confirmed fake, and it reinforces a pattern we've seen around GTA 6 coverage so far: unless something comes directly from Rockstar, it needs to be treated with caution, no matter how convincing it looks.
