Kingdom Hearts IV and Collection [I–III] confirmed for Tokyo Game Show 2026

Square Enix has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts IV and Kingdom Hearts Collection [I–III] will appear among the titles at its Tokyo Game Show 2026 booth, running September 17 through 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The two titles join a wider lineup that includes Final Fantasy VII Revelation, which headlines the booth, alongside Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold, Final Fantasy Resonance, and several Dragon Quest entries. Both games' native Nintendo Switch 2 versions were confirmed earlier this year, so their presence at the show marks an exhibition appearance rather than a new reveal.

Kingdom Hearts Collection launches October 8 across three platforms

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I–III] arrives October 8, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, replacing the original Switch's cloud-streaming versions with native local play for the first time. The bundle includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind, with each title also sold separately for players who only want part of the collection. A demo of Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind is already available on the Switch 2 eShop ahead of launch.

Kingdom Hearts IV continues the Lost Master Arc

Kingdom Hearts IV is set to launch in late 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, opening the series' new Lost Master Arc. The story is set largely in Quadratum, a realistic urban world inspired by Tokyo, and builds on Sora's journey with parkour traversal, Keyblade transformations, and the return of reaction commands from Kingdom Hearts II. The franchise has now surpassed 39 million units sold worldwide, and an anime series is also in development. Reports ahead of the show suggest attendees shouldn't expect substantial new Kingdom Hearts IV footage at the booth itself, with previously released trailers likely to carry the game's presence there.

Visitors to the Square Enix booth can also expect photo spots themed to the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy and a Square Enix Shop selling merchandise tied to the show's full lineup, including a purchase bonus bag while supplies last and a lottery for signed merchandise.
