Nihon Falcom's Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter remake gets a Konami TGS 2026 showcase at Makuhari Messe, timed to its September 17 global launch on PS5, Switch, Switch 2, and PC.

Nihon Falcom's Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter remake will be showcased within Konami's partner exhibition area at Tokyo Game Show 2026, according to Konami's official event page. The show runs September 17 through 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, with Konami's booth hosting a live stream and showcase for the game timed to its global launch.

Liberl arc continuation and live showcase

Following Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, the second entry in the remade Liberl trilogy picks up immediately after the cliffhanger ending of the original game. Players once again join newly certified senior bracer Estelle Bright as she searches the Liberl Kingdom for her vanished partner Joshua while confronting the secret society Ouroboros. A free demo covering the opening chapters is already available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, with save data transferable into the full release.

During TGS 2026, Konami's booth will broadcast a Falcom JDK Band live stream celebrating the game's release, alongside stage sessions covering the updated hybrid battle system. Combat switches between real-time Quick Battle action and strategic, turn-based Command Battle sequences, with a new Brave Rush move letting characters link attacks together. An expanded orbment system unlocks additional arts, and returning fan-favorite characters join as playable party members alongside new minigames such as fishing, poker, and cooking.

Multi-platform launch and floor exhibition

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter launches globally on September 17, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, timed to open alongside TGS itself. Players who carry over save data from 1st Chapter receive bonus items at the start of the new game. GungHo Online Entertainment America has also detailed a Golden Wings Edition collector's set, produced in partnership with TAKEOFF Creative, alongside standard physical and digital editions on all four platforms, with Switch owners able to upgrade to the Switch 2 edition through a separate paid pack. Ahead of launch, GungHo expanded the English voice cast to 15 named characters.

Visitors to Konami's exhibition area can view full-scale replicas of the game's character weapons, take souvenir photos at a dedicated photo booth, pick up a limited-run information booklet covering the game, and collect promotional items, including a squishy badge and a paper fan, distributed outside Kaihin-Makuhari Station during the show's public days.
