Latest Aniimo patch fixes major bugs

Developer Pawprint Studio has dropped a follow-up update for Aniimo, the free-to-play open-world creature collector, following its global debut on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The patch resolves visual rendering glitches, fixes several quest progression blockers, and optimizes wild Prismana spawning rules.

Visual fixes and quest blockers

The Aniimo update addresses a widely reported graphics issue where players encountered a full red screen display error or abnormally red character eyes on certain GPU configurations. It also resolves a bug where terrain could occasionally become impassable while collecting Butterfly Shadows during the story quest "The Land Where Dreams Come True," which had been blocking quest progress entirely.

Additional fixes address a softlock affecting the Unstuck command during two-player Sanctum mechanisms, overlapping interface text in the story quest "Another Departure," and an inaccurate objective description in that same quest. The patch also locks in a fix for Quick Twine and multiple forms being unable to participate in the Susuta and Dr Glass challenges, corrects incorrect item source text in the Stamp Shop, and fixes an inaccurate description of the Pathfinder's Aeroboard skill.

Smaller visual corrections round out the patch: crossover event decorations that were floating in midair in Astra, abnormal chimney wind field displays in Nimbus Fields, a display glitch affecting Companion Handbook EXP on the Monthly Pass make-up check-in screen, and incorrect asset references in quest cutscenes have all been fixed.

Gameplay optimizations and Prismana spawning

The patch also improves wild encounter mechanics for rare creatures. When Lucky Strike fills Prismatic Energy to its maximum, Prismana Aniimo in the active area now respawns immediately.

Other quality-of-life adjustments include disabling Auto Voice in the chat settings by default, changing the item type required to evolve Squarrel, and adjusting unreachable chest locations. Pawprint also reduced the default number of marks strangers share in the Settings menu, adjusted the conditions for obtaining the Tilling Chest, and removed error notification mail for common Aniipods to cut down on inbox clutter, though the items those Aniipods return are unaffected.
