Konami TGS 2026 digital stream detailed

After Typhoon Dujuan, also designated Typhoon No. 25, forced the physical closure of Makuhari Messe, Konami moved its remaining Tokyo Game Show 2026 stage lineup to a broadcast studio livestream. CESA, the event's organizer, cancelled the fifth and final day of TGS 2026 on September 19, citing forecasts of strengthening wind and rain from the afternoon of September 21 onward, along with the risk of transportation disruptions for attendees, exhibitors, and staff.

It marked the first time in the show's 30-year history that a day was cancelled after the event was already underway due to severe weather. September 20 proceeded as the final physical day on the Makuhari Messe floor, and CESA said some September 21 stage events would instead be streamed online as official broadcasts. CESA is issuing full refunds for September 21 tickets, though September 20 passes remain non-refundable since that day still went ahead. Sony also confirmed the hands-on demos and livestreams planned for its PlayStation booth on September 21 would not proceed.

Ganbare Goemon 40th anniversary and classic lineups

Marking 40 years since the franchise's 1986 debut, Konami revisited Ganbare Goemon Dai Shugou, the 13-title compilation that launched in July. Rather than unveiling new content, the studio segment saw game entertainer Fujita replay highlights from the collection, which includes rewind and quick save and load functions, a music mode, and a viewer for the original instruction manuals. A limited anniversary giveaway item was also available at the show's Family Game Park area.

Konami also returned to Super Bomberman Collection, where creator group Girly Record Channel attempted to clear every boss in the compilation's Boss Rush mode, a consecutive time-attack challenge spanning bosses from Super Bomberman 1 through 5.

eFootball Kick-Off! Leagues mode and digital stream schedule

On the sports front, Konami detailed the upcoming Leagues mode for eFootball Kick-Off!, its Nintendo Switch 2 entry in the series. Arriving as a free update this autumn, the mode lets players compete across 25 leagues worldwide as they chase a season championship. The segment featured Yoichiro Kakitani and Manami Marutaka playing the game ahead of the update's rollout.

Konami's rescheduled digital programming continued streaming on YouTube and Twitch through September 21, giving fans access to announcements originally planned for the cancelled show floor.
