Genshin Impact version 7.1 revealed with Vesna, Vodyanitsa, and rewards

HoYoverse has detailed Genshin Impact Version 7.1, titled "A Rekviem for the Underworld," following the Special Program livestream that aired on September 12. The broadcast confirmed new Snezhnaya characters, a two-phase banner schedule, story content, sixth-anniversary rewards, and a limited-time redemption code bundle worth 300 free Primogems. Version 7.1 launches on September 23.

Banner schedule and character debuts

Phase 1 runs from September 23 to October 13 and introduces two new 5-star characters together on their debut banners. Vesna, Commander of the Druzhna, is an Anemo sword user built around the Stellar-Swirl reaction and expected to play as a main DPS. Vodyanitsa, Prima Donna of the Korolevskiy Troupe, is a Hydro catalyst support focused on healing and enabling off-field damage. Their signature weapons appear on featured weapon banners alongside them, the 5-star sword Beyond the Chrysalis and the 5-star catalyst Hymn of the Maelstrom. Phase 2 follows from October 13 to November 3, bringing rerun banners for 5-star units Skirk and Escoffier.

Story content and new bosses

Genshin Impact Version 7.1 continues the Snezhnaya arc through three Archon Quests, White Night, Like a Dream Upon Waking, and A Rekviem for the Underworld, and sets up a confrontation between Dainsleif and Ronova, the Ruler of Death. Ronova joins the game as a new weekly boss, while a new world boss, the Guardian Blade of Drifting Snow, arrives alongside a 4-star sword of the same name as an event reward. The Traveler also becomes a special consultant in the Tsaritsa's court, taking on assignments from her over the course of the update.

Anniversary rewards and redemption codes

Genshin Impact Version 7.1 coincides with Genshin Impact's sixth anniversary on September 28. Players can claim 10 Intertwined Fates through a seven-day login event, 1,600 Primogems delivered by in-game mail, and a standard 5-star character selector. A separate event-exclusive selector lets players pick one 5-star unit from a pool that includes Tartaglia, Baizhu, Nilou, Varesa, Chiori, and Clorinde.

HoYoverse also released three broadcast redemption codes. Rekviem grants 100 Primogems and 10 Mystic Enhancement Ore, Vesna0923 grants 100 Primogems and 5 Hero's Wit, and PrimaDonna grants 100 Primogems and 50,000 Mora, together worth 300 Primogems. The codes are redeemable for a limited time through the in-game mailbox or HoYoverse's official redemption site.
