Gears of War: E-Day PC requirements revealed

With just over two weeks left for the release of Gears of War: E-Day, Microsoft has shared what kind of PC setup you would need to run the game at different graphics presets. As we know, the game will be an Xbox console and PC exclusive, starting a line of first-party games that will skip the Sony console.
Per the requirements, gamers on Team Green would need at least an RTX 5050 or RTX 2060 to run the game at the ‘Medium’ graphics preset. This means 1080p (1,920x1,080) at 60 FPS, but with upscaling. Team Red will need at least a Radeon RX 6600 or a Radeon RX 9060. In terms of CPU, the Ryzen 5 2600X/ Intel Core i7-6850K or i5-10400 would suffice. This is in combination with at least 12 GB of RAM and 115 GB of SSD storage.
To move up to the ‘High’ preset, which is the recommended preset, you would need at least an RTX 5060 or RTX 3060 Ti for Team Green and RX 6700 XT or RX 9060 XT for Team Red. The CPU requirement jumps to the Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i5-11600K. Paired with 16 GB RAM, this setup should allow you to run the game at 1440p (2,560x1,440) at 60+ FPS, of course, with upscaling enabled.
Finally, the ‘Ultra’ preset, which pushes 4K (3,840x2,160) at 60+ FPS, requires at least an RTX 5070 Ti or RX 7900 XT. For the CPU, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D or the Intel Core i7-14700K or better is demanded. You will still need DLSS, FSR, TSR, or XeSS upscaling to push those frame rates.
The Coalition has also shared that the game will support DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XeSS 3.0t at launch. No DLSS 5 support listed for now. Furthermore, Gears of War: E-Day will feature ray-traced reflections, shadows, global illumination, and have native ultrawide support.
Pre-installs will start on September 29 via Xbox on PC or Steam. Game Pass members and those who have pre-orders will be able to play earlier on October 1, while the rest of the public will be able to start playing on October 6.
