Priority has unveiled the Skyline, a powerful e-bike with a 750 W rear hub motor, a Pinion smart shift gearbox, a Gates carbon drive belt, a large 720 Wh battery, and an aluminum frame. It weighs 68 lbs (30.8 kg) and comes with hydraulic disk brakes and a backlit display.

American e-bike manufacturer Priority has unveiled its latest Skyline high-end e-bike in the US. It’s advertised as Priority’s most advanced electric bike yet and comes with a solid feature set as well as a premium price tag. Speaking of powered things, the Priority Skyline is equipped with a Pinion C1.12i smart shift gearbox paired with a 750 W torque-sensing rear hub motor and a Gates carbon drive belt.

The torque-sensing motor offers a top speed of 28 mph (45 kph) and effortlessly tackles all the standard inclines, thanks to 90 Nm of torque. A removable 720 Wh large downtube-integrated battery powers the Skyline, which is said to offer a range of 20 to 60 miles (32.1 to 96.5 km) between charges. However, according to the brand, the range of the e-bike depends on several factors, such as assist level, terrain, rider weight, and use of the throttle.

The Pinion C1.12i smart shift gearbox system has 12 electronically actuated gears across a massive 600% gear range. Additionally, it features a Gates Carbon belt drive, which provides automotive-level reliability with smooth shifting and minimal maintenance. This is the same belt drive you’ll find on the most expensive European trekking e-bikes. The Skyline has wide 650x50c Maxxis tires paired with an SR Suntour XCM 32 front suspension fork with 80 mm of travel and Tektro HD-E350 hydraulic disc brakes with motor cutoff.

The e-bike’s frame is crafted from a 6061 aluminum material and weighs 68 lbs (30.8 kg). Moreover, there’s an integrated 500-lumen front light, a brake-sensing rear light, and a backlit display that shows 5 assist modes, a speedometer, trip distance, and an odometer. Accessories include a saddle, rear luggage rack, kickstand, and full fenders.

The Priority Skyline e-bike starts at $3,999 and comes in small, medium, and large size options. Available in a white colorway, the e-bike is now available for pre-order via Priority’s official website. Additionally, the company is also offering a $300 launch discount that runs through August 18, bringing the original list price down from $3,999 to $3,699.
