The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is a high-end graphics card based on AMD's Navi 48 (N48 XTX) chip, featuring 64 CUs (32 WGP). The model will feature 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a 256-bit bus and 64 MB of total cache.

Performance

According to some leaks, the RX 9070 XT is expected to sit somewhere between the RTX 4080 and the RTX 4080 Super in terms of performance. However, there is also some (unconfirmed) evidence that the card will be on par with the RTX 4070 Ti.

Our tests show that the card is 6% to 11% faster overall than the smaller-grade RX 9070 in professional applications and benchmarks. The gaming performance of the RX 9070 XT is 11% higher than that of the smaller model overall. Quite interestingly, the RTX 4080 Super fits right between two Radeon sister models (9% slower than the 9070 XT and 3% faster than the 9070). With that said, the standard RTX 4080 is 13% slower than the RX 9070.

Power consumption

The Radeon RX 9070 XT requires 304 watts; however, custom versions of the card can feature up to 330 watts of power.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Max-Q (for laptops, GN20-E3, Max-Q) is the former name for a RTX 3060 Laptop GPU with Max-Q technologies. In previous generations, the Max-Q name was used for low power versions. With the RTX 3000 series, every TGP-version can now use Max-Q technologies and all GPUs are called RTX 3060 Laptop GPU (60 - 115W).

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 A Laptop GPU (mobile) is a modern Ada Lovelace variant of the RTX 3050 4GB Laptop GPU. However it offers greatly reduced cores (only 1,792) and a small 64 Bit memory bus for 4 GB GDDR6. At the time of release in mid 2024, the GPU was only intended for the Indian market.

The performance should be only similar to the old 4GB RTX 3050 Laptop GPU based on Ampere, due to the lower core count and small memory bus. 

The AD106 / AD107 chip is manufactured on the modern 5nm process at TSMC (4N) and therefore the GPU should offer a better power consumption than the old RTX 3050 variants (based on the Samsung 8N process). The power consumption is rated between 35 and 50 Watt for the 3050 A and therefore suited for thin multimedia laptops.
