Citizen’s new Disney Eco-Drive watch with colorful design lands in the UK
Citizen has expanded its Disney collection with the Citizen FE7097-05W Eco-Drive watch. This is the latest model to be released as part of the collaboration between Citizen and Diseny. To recall, Citizen also announced the FE7110-09W watch earlier this year, featuring a retro image of Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto.
This time around, Citizen went with two Disney characters. Speaking more precisely, the watch’s face features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, who are illustrated riding a tandem bicycle with baskets full of picnic provisions and flowers. You get a 36 mm compact silver-tone stainless steel case paired with a navy blue leather strap with a buckle.
Furthermore, the dial of the watch has a blue sunray pattern, which creates a shimmering effect as it catches the light. Besides Mickey and Minnie, there are multiple elements present on the dial. The dial is adorned with three analog hands and vintage-style floral hour markers. There’s no day or date complication here. Inside the FE7097-05W is Citizen’s Eco-Drive movement, which can be powered by an outdoor or indoor light source.
There is a mineral crystal on top of the dial, which offers basic scratch resistance. Moreover, the timepiece is rated as splash-resistant, meaning it can handle normal water splashes. However, it’s worth noting that it is not suitable for light water sports activities such as swimming and snorkeling.
As for price, the Citizen x Diseny FE7097-05W Eco-Drive watch is priced at £229. Interested buyers can now directly purchase it from Citizen’s official website. Interestingly, the watch comes with special Disney-themed packaging, which may appeal to Disney fans and collectors.
