Casio's new titanium mechanical watches leaked, featuring sapphire crystal across 3 variants
A mechanical Casio in a titanium case has surfaced ahead of any announcement. Casioblog reports that the company is preparing a CMK-100 series and has published renders it says came from insiders.
Three references are described for launch, differentiated by strap: the CMK-100TC-1A on textile, the CMK-100TD-1A on a titanium bracelet and the CMK-100TL-1A on leather. Casioblog's sources put a titanium case and sapphire crystal on all three; the T in each suffix is the biggest tell. If that's true, it is kind of unusual. The Timeless line, also sold as Standard, is Casio's budget tier. The site hints that the CMK-100 may be split into a separate group in the way Casiotron was.
Casioblog describes a non-uniform texture resembling black decorative plaster, an idea it traces to the Edifice EFK. There are Arabic numerals at the quarters and applied markers between them. The leather-strapped TL carries rose gold-coloured hands and markers where the others run steel. A date window is present at three o'clock, and water resistance is put at 100 m.
The dial only comes with Casio's branding. The comparable EFK-100 and EFK-200 are Edifice watches, so this would sit outside any sub-brand.
The movement is reported as the Miyota 8215, the same caliber Casioblog attributes to the EFK-200 and EFK-110. It runs at 21,600 vph on 21 jewels, holds roughly 42 hours and is rated between minus 20 and plus 40 seconds a day. Miyota's current specification for the 8215 includes a stop-seconds device, though older examples of the caliber did not hack.
Nothing is confirmed. No weight or dimensions have surfaced, no price has been announced, and Casioblog's own estimate is 280 to 300 dollars.
