Casio’s new G-Shock 2500 ‘CasioNaut’ series leaks again, revealing US pricing and marketing material
Casio can’t seem to keep a lid on its upcoming 2500 series. Scheduled to be released in November, the new GMC-2500 and GAC-2500 lineup briefly appeared on Casio's website earlier this month before being taken down—but not before revealing most of the juicy details. The design of the watch has already generated a lot of buzz among G-Shock fans, earning the nickname “CasioNaut” for its resemblance to the Patek Philippe Nautilus. Now, a new leak has revealed US pricing and more details from what appears to be official marketing material.
The latest information comes from the ever-reliable G-Shock source @geesgshock (via Instagram), which shared pricing for the GAC-2500, GMC-2500, and full-metal GMC-2500D models.
The resin GAC-2500 will reportedly start at $145 and will be available in the following colorways:
- GAC-2500-1A (Black)
- GAC-2500-3A (Olive Green)
- GAC-2500-7A (White)
- GAC-2500-9A (Yellow)
The GMC-2500 sits in the middle, combining a stainless steel bezel with a resin band. It’s tipped to cost $280 / $300 in the US and will be available in three variants:
- GMC-2500-1A (Black dial with silver bezel and black resin band) — $280
- GMC-2500-1A8 (Silver dial with silver bezel and black resin band) — $280
- GMC-2500G-9A (Gold dial with gold IP bezel and black resin band) — $300
At the top of the lineup sits the GMC-2500D, which pairs a stainless steel case with a matching bracelet. It’s expected to retail for $350 in the US, with black and blue-gray dial options.

The leaked marketing copy also sheds more light on Casio's design philosophy. The new watches reinterpret the original DW-5000C’s design through a fully analog layout, combining a small-seconds subdial with a three-segment rolling date display and dimensional hour markers.
There’s also a new shock-release hand mechanism. Instead of being fixed directly to a shaft, the minute hand is held magnetically, allowing it to shift under impact and then return to its position. Casio also says the small seconds hand can be stopped with a dedicated sleep function to reduce power consumption.
Other notable highlights include 200-meter water resistance, a 30-minute stopwatch, full auto-calendar, LED lighting, and ±15 seconds-per-month accuracy.
