Casio launches four stylish steel and leather watches at budget prices

Casio has expanded its entry-level analog lineup in India with the MTP-SN4 series, combining conventional quartz movements with a multi-dial design. The MTP-SN4KD comes in three variants, namely 1A, 2A and 7A, while the MTP-SN4KRL-1A has a similar design overall and switches to a leather strap. All four watches measure 50.5 × 41.2 mm and are 8.15 mm thick.

The defining feature is the dial arrangement, which gives the watches a chronograph-like appearance without actually providing stopwatch functions. Three sub-dials display the date, day of the week and 24-hour time. The steel MTP-SN4KD models weigh 105 grams and use stainless-steel bracelets with one-touch, three-fold clasps, while the leather MTP-SN4KRL-1A weighs 60 grams. The latter also gets a rose-gold-tone bezel, giving it a more traditional dress-watch appearance.

Internally, the watches use straightforward quartz movements powered by SR621SW batteries. Casio rates accuracy at ±20 seconds per month and estimates roughly two years of battery life. Mineral glass covers the dials rather than the more scratch-resistant sapphire found on some higher-priced watches. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters, which is intended for everyday exposure such as rain and hand washing rather than swimming or showering.

The MTP-SN4KD models are listed on Casio India's website for ₹4,995, equivalent to around $52, while the leather MTP-SN4KRL-1A costs ₹5,495, or approximately $57. The steel models fit wrists from 145 to 215 mm, according to Casio's specifications, while the leather variant is a little smaller at 145 to 200 mm.
