Casio’s two new Pro Trek watches with Tough Solar and triple sensor reach more markets
Casio has unveiled two new watches in its Pro Trek PRG-340 series in India: the PRG-340-1 and the PRG-340-3. Casio’s Pro Trek models are designed for use outdoors, and the PRG-340 series models are no exception. Both models have identical features but come in different colors. The former ships with a classic all-black finish, while the latter features a muted olive-green case paired with a matching resin strap.
Both digital watches have a dual-layer LCD for the compass graphics and the clock functions. There is the Super Illuminator LED backlight, which ensures visibility in darker conditions. The PRG-340 series models are equipped with the Triple Sensor technology, meaning they offer a digital compass, thermometer, and barometer/altimeter. The digital compass helps with navigation, while the barometer/altimeter tracks air pressure and altitude, and the thermometer shows the current temperature in your environment.
Furthermore, the watches are powered by Casio’s Tough Solar charging, and according to Casio, they can run for up to seven months with typical use. The rest of the highlights of the PRG-340 series include 100 m (10 bar) water resistance, a rotating bezel, sunrise and sunset display, a stopwatch, and world time across 48 cities. Plus, these watches have the specified timekeeping accuracy of ±15 seconds per month.
As for price, the Casio Pro Trek PRG-340-1 and the PRG-340-3 are priced at ₹17,995 (~$187.81) each. Interested buyers can now purchase both models directly from Casio India’s official website and other authorized retailers.
