ZimaBoard maker teams up with OpenClaw and other partners to declare September 25 Self-Hosting Day

IceWhale isn't doing it alone, either. The company has brought on a number of partners to support the event, including OpenClaw, PhotoPrism, AdGuard, Karakeep, Blinko, and Emby. The campaign benefits the community not only through prizes, but above all through the exchange of knowledge with fellow self-hosting enthusiasts.

To actively participate, users can head to the event thread n r/minilab via the dedicated campaign page, which leads to the corresponding Reddit page. There, participants can share their experiences, as well as their mistakes, successes, guides, and, of course, what they have learned along the way. It doesn't matter whether you're a longtime expert or have just set up your first system—everyone's experience is welcome.

Together with the moderators of the Reddit thread, the organizers will award various prizes among participating community members. Five winners will be selected based on authenticity, usefulness, creativity, and value to the community, according to IceWhale.

The first-place winner will receive a ZimaBoard 2 1664, along with an AdGuard Ad Blocker Lifetime Family license, PhotoPrism Plus Lifetime, and one year of Emby Premiere. Second place receives essentially the same software package, but with a ZimaBoard 2 832 instead of the 1664 model. The third-place winner will also receive the same apps, along with a ZimaBlade 7700. There are also additional smaller prizes for the first 100 comments, as well as several lucky giveaways.
