The OnePlus 16 will likely be released before the end of the year. Before that, however, the OnePlus flagship phone has now been spotted on the latest version of Geekbench, registering impressive CPU performance numbers thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.

While OnePlus has pulled out of the global market, it's business as usual in China, with the OnePlus 16 expected to debut later this year. Details of the flagship phone have leaked extensively of recent, and it has now also made a trip to Geekbench.

As seen on Geekbench, the OnePlus 16 will be powered by Qualcomm's upcoming flagship chipset, expected to be branded as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The phone earns a single-core score of 3,492 and a multi-core score of 11,950. Both of those numbers are on par with recorded listings for the same chipset aboard a Qualcomm Reference Design device, as well as the new MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro.

They fail to match the Apple A20 Pro on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, however. Or, at least, on the single-core test. Apple's new flagship phones routinely break the 4,000 mark on Geekbench 7, even surpassing the M5 Max on the MacBook Pro. It appears it could be yet another year of Apple silicon headlining CPU performance.

The listing confirms the presence of 16 GB of memory on the OnePlus 16, as well as Android 17 on the software side. There'll likely be a 12 GB model of the flagship phone as well, if previous generations are anything to go by.
