Compact 8.4-inch gaming tablet leaks with 10,000 mAh battery

Honor has already confirmed that it's working on a compact gaming tablet, dubbed the Win.

In fact, an Honor employee has even gone ahead to confirm that the tablet will be powered by the impressive Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC featuring an 8-core setup with 4.6 GHz peak boost clocks. It had also been rumored previously that the tablet will be equipped with an OLED display, which is typical for high-end gaming tablets.

Now, a new leak from a Weibo blogger spotted by ITHome has stated that the tablet will feature an 8.4-inch display as well as a 10,000 mAh power-class battery.

A compact gaming tablet with a massive battery might finally be here

If the leaker's assertions turn out to be true, this would be the first time that a compact tablet as small as 8.4 inches features a five-digit battery capacity (in mAh). Tablets often do come with 10,000+ mAh batteries, but those feature large displays, often in the range of 12 inches or so.

A gaming tablet with a powerful SoC, a high-refresh-rate OLED display, and a battery as massive as the above rumor will definitely be an exciting device for folks  who like to game on their commute, or simply happen to be frequently on the go.

No other details are available as of this writing, although we do expect the tablet to be announced in the near future. Exact launch or pricing information is unavailable as of this writing, but more details are likely to pop up on the interwebs in due time.

Considering that Honor does not sell its products in the U.S. and is highly unlikely to do so in the future, compact gaming tablet enthusiasts can check out the Legion Tab Gen 5, currently available for $671 on Lenovo's official US online store.
